Description
Townhouse Calvari is another hidden jewel in the Calvary neighbourhood are of the historic town of Pollensa. This spacious and attractive holiday home offers a great location with lovely views over Pollensa town and its mountains.
On the ground floor there is a separate lounge with sofas and a satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area which has French doors that give access to a private outdoor rear area. From this rear terrace, stairs give access to the upper outdoor terrace where there is a covered built in barbecue. This covered barbecue area is furnished with a table and chairs, and its ideal for those who loves making dinners al fresco.
The three bedrooms are located on the first floor of the house. The master bedroom has an open bathroom with shower, and the other two bedrooms (a twin and a double), share a full bathroom with a bath. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and standing up fans for the warmer months.
On the very top area of the house there is another seating area which has access to a balcony terrace with views onto the street.
All in all, Calvari is a cosy house in one of Mallorca’s most appealing towns, and is an excellent choice for anyone interested in a more authentically local base. It is right in the heart of Pollensa, just 90 mts to the famous Calvay steps, and only 350 mts. to the main square (with its fantastic Sunday market and with a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops). We also recommend to take time to feel the atmosphere and the essence of the town by wandering the smaller back streets and discovering the clutch of small museums, churches and small restaurants and shops.
Since car hire is not essential, in case you prefer not to use the car, for days at the beach the local bus connects you to Puerto Pollença and Cala San Vicente (both just 7 Km. away). Taxis are also an option, and they are relatively plentiful.
Please be aware of the spectacular "Davallament" procession, which takes place in the Calvary and in the centre of the town on Good Friday. It is well worth seeing.

This traditional, rustic style Mallorcan house is ideally situated on the outskirts of the town of Pollensa, affording lovely mountain views but within walking distance to the shops and centre of the town.
There is a nice outside terrace and patio garden from which to enjoy the mountain views towards the valley of Ternelles.
On the ground floor there are two lounge areas, one with satellite TV and DVD, and another separate seating area. The owners have kept many original features including stone flooring in most of the ground floor. The kitchen has vitroceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The washing machine is located outside.
At first floor level all the bedrooms are located. There are two twin bedrooms and one double room sharing one full bathroom and one shower room with toilet. There is a further shower room with toilet outside by the barbecue. For 2025 the bedrooms will have ceiling fans.
The outside pool area has a covered terrace and a built-in barbecue with sink area for those who enjoy al fresco dining. The pool itself is an usual triangular shape. THE LOCAL TOURIST TAX IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE.
